Welcome to Kotatieva Forest Bar & Kitchen — our cozy log-built restaurant in the middle of the Arctic forest.

Our kitchen is all about good, uncomplicated food made with quality ingredients and a strong connection to Lapland. We work with local producers and suppliers whenever possible, bringing familiar northern flavours to the table in our own relaxed Kotatieva style.

On our menu, you’ll find ingredients such as reindeer, locally farmed rainbow trout, Lapland Puikula potatoes and wild forest berries. Even our ice cream comes from a local artisan producer here in Rovaniemi.

Come in for lunch between winter activities, grab a burger and a drink, warm up with something sweet, or spend the evening enjoying our à la carte menu. No need to dress up — just come as you are.

Open for Kotatieva Winter Leisure Park guests only. Serving lunch and relaxed meals like burgers made from local beef or reindeer, fries, warm sandwiches, pastries, and sweet treats.

17:00 – 22:30 (Sunday until 21:30)

Welcome to enjoy authentic flavours in the middle of the forest.

Our log-built restaurant offers a unique dining experience where local flavours meet the peace of the Arctic nature. Book a table and enjoy our à la carte menu or carefully curated set menus — designed for all ages and tastes.

We recommend making a reservation due to our intimate size and remote location. Walk-ins are welcome if we have availability, but please call ahead to check: +358 40 162 0862.

Please inform us of any allergies or dietary restrictions in advance.

Arrival We offer free transport for larger groups. Please contact us at info@kotatieva.fi to arrange the transfer. Reservations including transport must be made at least one day in advance. You can also easily reach our restaurant by car or taxi, and there are parking spaces available next to the restaurant. Cancellation Please, cancel your reservation in time in a case when you are not coming to our restaurant.

Loimulohi Dinner – A Taste of Lapland by the Fire
Join us for an atmospheric evening in the snowy forest of Kotatieva, featuring traditional Finnish loimulohi — salmon slowly flame-cooked over an open fire.

✔ The dinner will take place if a minimum of 10 participants have booked.
✔ Confirmation is sent 48 hours before the dinner.
✔ Once confirmed, the booking is non-refundable. If the dinner does not take place, you will receive a full refund.
