Our cozy log-built restaurant welcomes you to the Arctic forest, just outside Rovaniemi. Come for a meal or stop by for something small.

Our kitchen brings together Lapland à la carte dishes, burgers and small plates inspired by northern flavours. Our drinks selection includes cocktails, alcohol-free mocktails, beers and hot drinks — with or without alcohol. Ask our team about the available options.

Everyone is welcome from 17:00. Come for dinner as its own experience, or round off your day in the forest at our table.

Reindeer, locally farmed rainbow trout, Lapland Puikula potatoes and wild forest berries. We work with local producers and suppliers whenever possible, bringing familiar northern flavours to the table in our own relaxed Kotatieva style.

Even our ice cream comes from a local artisan producer here in Rovaniemi.

Christmas dining is open to everyone — no cabin booking or park ticket needed. Come just for a festive meal with your favourite people.

Reserve your table online. To check whether the traditional Finnish Christmas buffet or the table-served Christmas menu is available on your preferred date, email us with your date, party size and preferred menu. On 24–25 December, only the traditional Finnish Christmas buffet is served.

Traditional Finnish Christmas buffet · Adults 59 € · Children aged 3–11: 19 € · Under 3: free
Served on both days from 17:00 to 22:30. Everyone is welcome, whether you are staying with us or visiting just for Christmas dinner.

Children can also enjoy familiar favourites such as fries and nuggets, included in the children’s menu price and available to order on site.

Lunch ends at 16:00 on 24 and 25 December.

On 24–25 December 2026, evening dining is exclusively our traditional Finnish Christmas buffet, served from 17:00 to 22:30. A table reservation is required. The à la carte menu is not available on these evenings. Everyone is welcome, including visitors staying elsewhere. Reserve your Christmas table.

Staying in one of our cabins? You can also purchase the Christmas menu separately when it is available. Ask our team about serving dates and availability during your stay.

Add a sauna and hot tub to your celebration, or ask us about transport arrangements. Dietary requirements and vegetarian or vegan alternatives can be arranged in advance.

Restaurant Kotatieva – Table reservation

Welcome to enjoy authentic flavours in the middle of the forest.

Our log-built restaurant offers a unique dining experience where local flavours meet the peace of the Arctic nature. Book a table and enjoy our à la carte menu or carefully curated set menus — designed for all ages and tastes.

We recommend making a reservation due to our intimate size and remote location. Except on 24–25 December, when a table reservation is required, walk-ins are welcome if we have availability, but please call ahead to check: +358 40 162 0862.

Gluten-free and vegan options always available.
Please inform us of any allergies or dietary restrictions in advance.

Arrival We offer free transport for larger groups. Please contact us at [email protected] to arrange the transfer. Reservations including transport must be made at least one day in advance. You can also easily reach our restaurant by car or taxi, and there are parking spaces available next to the restaurant. Cancellation Please, cancel your reservation in time in a case when you are not coming to our restaurant.

Loimulohi Dinner – A Taste of Lapland by the Fire
Join us for an atmospheric evening in the snowy forest of Kotatieva, featuring traditional Finnish loimulohi — salmon slowly flame-cooked over an open fire.
