Shuttle Bus to Kotatieva

Getting to Kotatieva is easy. During the winter season, we offer a free shuttle bus service between Rovaniemi city centre and Kotatieva Resort.

You do not need a car or complicated transport arrangements — simply hop on the shuttle and enjoy a comfortable ride to our peaceful forest location, just 10 km from Rovaniemi.

The shuttle bus is available for Kotatieva guests and visitors to the Winter Leisure Park, restaurant and cabins.

NOTE! Shuttle service is running only when Winter Leisure Park is open!!!

Arrival by Shuttle (Daytime Service)

We provide a free shuttle service for our cabin guests or with a valid A Day in Kotatieva or Kotatieva Experience ticket.

  • No advance booking is required for the shuttle.
  • Guests with pre-purchased park tickets have priority if the bus is full.
  • Cabin guests can also use the shuttle free. The shuttle bus operates during the park’s opening season from 5 Dec to 21 Mar.

The shuttle runs between Rovaniemi city center, Santa Claus Village, and Kotatieva, three times a day.

Pick-up points:

  • Rovaniemi city center: next to the Central Sports Field (Keskusurheilukenttä), bus stop Roimunrotko P (link to map)
  • Santa Claus Village: Santa’s Pizza Burger parking lot (link to map)

Timetable

Shuttle Timetable (Daytime)

To Kotatieva (via Santa Claus Village):

  • City Center → 10:00, SCV → 10:15 (until 21.3.2027)
  • City Center → 11:00, SCV → 11:15 (until 21.3.2027)
  • City Center → 12:00, SCV → 12:15 ( until 10.3.2027)

Return from Kotatieva:

  • Departs → 14:30, SCV → 14:45, City Center→ 15:00 (until 10.3.2027)
  • Departs → 15:30, SCV → 15:45, City Center→ 16:00 (until 21.3.2027)
  • Departs → 16:30, SCV → 16:45, City Center→ 17:00 (until 21.3.2027)

For Cabin guests the transport to SCV and City Center

  • shuttle departs from Kotatieva 10.30 and 11.30

For Cabin guests the transport to Kotatieva

  • shuttle departs from SCV 14:45 and 15:45 and from City Center 15:00 and 16.00.

NOTE! Shuttle service is running only when park is open!!!

Transportation for Evening Programs

For evening experiences like Aurora Skating, sauna & hot tub, or private events, shuttle service is available for an additional fee (€120 per group, round trip). This must be booked at the same time as your evening program.

Organizing Your Own Transport

Rental cars or local taxis are both convenient options. Local taxis can be ordered via apps or by phone.
